Case Studies

In a recent reported case involving a council worker with an unblemished long service prior to her being placed in a managerial role and encountering difficulties, the employer’s failure to use a fair review process, in particular adopting a “backseat” approach to supervision and not setting achievable or measurable targets for improvement, rendered the dismissal unfair.
